This results in what is one of the most incredible wildlife spectacles on Earth – enormous aggregations of Pantanal Caiman (Caiman/yacare) gathering around drying pools. Pantanal is home to 3.5 million Caiman, at population densities higher than that of any other crocodilian population on the planet.
